        Love will tear us apart Background information: "Love Will Tear Us Apart" is a song by English rock band Joy Division, released in June 1980. The lyrics were inspired by lead singer Ian Curtis' struggles with mental illness. Curtis later committed suicide and the song was released a month after. The song is 3:18 and depicts Curtis' troubled relationships with his wife, saying that they will tear each other apart as long as they love each other. The song also makes suggestions about his struggles with epilepsy, which he was diagnosed with in 1979, and the stress of keeping a day job while also worrying about his music career.  The music video begins in a rather dark setting, with Joy Division playing their instruments in a dark room. Story Board

    Story board 1. the man goes on a date and gets stood up. He has been trying been trying to get back onto the scene since his terrible breakup however when he gets stood up it only adds to his lack of confidence and sadness. 2. He gets very drunk and kicked out of the restaurant. He goes on a walk and continues drinking. He cannot get her out of his head. 3. He begins to hallucinate. He thinks he sees her but in reality she is not there and it is all in his head 4. His sadness grows, and as a result he starts to wonder if his life is worth living. However, he decides to give life another chance. 5. While he is sitting by himself in a park, he is approached by a man who has clear confidence and charisma. They begin talking and he feels a lot better. 6. They walk off together to go to get a drink. Whilst he still has not found love since his last partner, he has found a great friend to pick him up on his two feet.
